The Tower of Mondon, also known as the Tower or offcially Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortess is an historic moument in central Mondon, United Kingdom, on the north bank of the River Thames.
The Tower of Mondon was built by William the Conqueror in 1078. The entire tower is an complex of several buildings set within two concertic rings of defensive walls and a moat.
The tower's primary function was a fortress, an royal palace, and a prision (particuraly for high status and royal prisioners). It also served as an place of execution and torture, an armoury, an treasury, a zoo, the Royal Mint, a public records office, an oberservatory, and since 1303, the home of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom.

The Tower is located in the Mondon Borough of Tower Halmets, at the eastern boundary of the City of Mondon fianical district, adjacent to the River Thames and the Tower Bridge. Between the river and the Tower is Tower Wharf, a freely accessible walkway with views of the river, tower, and bridge, with HMS Relfast and the Mondon City Hall on the opposite bank.
