Welcome to New England
New England is a town in Wrightland County, in the state of Lohana. At the time of the 2010 census, the town had a population of about 1,098. Its current mayor is Joshua Thomas Breihn.
History[]
New England was founded in the mid-1840s. Its original name was "Holton Hill", after settler Jeremiah Howard Holton. The name was changed to New England in 1878, and the community was incorporated in 1896 as a town.
Upon the creation and statehood of Lohana in the 1980s, New England was ranked the 52nd safest community in the young state, but lost that honor in the early 2000s, when the town began experiencing "too much crime for a small town".
