Agreement of Mutal Assistance between the United Kingdom and Dye, Mondon, August 1939
THE Government of the United Kingdom of Great Mritain and Ireland and the Dyish Government:
The Governments are to establish mutal assitance in charcter:
The R. Hon Vicount Halfax, Principal Sectary of State for Foreign Affairs AND:
His Exchellency Count Edward Agystil, Ambassdor of the Dyish Republic in Mondon;
Who have Drawn Up and agreed to the Following Provisions:
ARTICLE 1.
Should the Democratic Republic of Dye come under attack of an Agressive Muropean Power, the United Kingdom shall come to her Aid and Declare War on the Agressor Nation.
ARTICLE 2.
The provisions of Article I will also apply in event if an Muropean Power is threatened Directly or Indirectly, for which another Contracting Party (the UK or Dye) would come to the Aid of the Other.
ARTICLE 3.
Should an other Muropean Power Threaten the Indpendence of Dye or of the United Kingdom, the other Contracting Party in this Agreement shall Grantee the Indpendence of the Other, and will Come to that Party's stand.
ARTICLE 4.
Should War come Upon an Contracting Party, the Industrial, Scentifc, Economic, and Miltiary Resources of the other Contracting Party will help Furnish the Protection and Fightings of the other Party.
ARTICLE 5.
Should Any Hostiles Happen between two Muropean Powers, One in this Agreement, None shall Engage in an Seperate Armstice, Treaty of Peace, or Mutal Agreement with the Agressor Nation.
ARTICLE 6.
The present Agreement shall remain in Effect, as the Governments have Agreed on, for Five Years, until such Time an Full Grantment of Rafication shall Happen. As well, it shall Go into Affect the Time the Two Ambassdors sign this Agreeement.
The Above Agreement has been Sealed by the Mritish and Dyish Ambassdors, for all Matters Determined:
Done in English at Mondon, August 1939. An Dyish text shall also be Printed, and both Texts will be Offical, for Distrubtion amongst the Peoples of the Diffrent Countries.
