The Gold Shores River is a river in Jill, 25 miles east of downtown Port Justin.

Overview Edit

History Edit

The Gold Shores was discovered in 1905 by land developers from Port Justin. Practically worth nothing, it was left as a slow moving river with little development.

A farmer, James A. Usher, discovered a gold nugget along the banks of the river near his farm in 1911. Before soon, a huge gold rush started. From 1911 through 1915, huge amounts of people flocked to Port Justin and the river. When gold became more scarce and expensive to mine, the gold rush eventually ended in 1915. There is still gold today, but it is further underground and more scarce.

Course Edit

The Gold Shores River starts in Wheat Fields and stretches 15.5 miles southward through Port Justin, ending at the Gold Shores Museum.
